Hi!
I'm completely new to your group (first time here). I've read a few posts
and... could someone please explain the meaning of the abbreviations DS, DD,
DH etc. I understand it's probably son, daughter and husband, but what does
the D stand for?
Anna
(an English teacher from Poland and a mother of a 15 year old son)
PS. I read a "parents" newsgroup in Poland. It's amazing, how similar our
problems and the topics are:)

Depending on mood of post it's dear, darling, damned, demented (at least
in my home;)

You got the son, daughter and husband correct: the D usually stands for
Dear. However, if the person concerned is being particularly annoying,
it can stand for "darn" or "dratted".
