It often strikes me that the presents my children get the most out of at
Christmas are the ones that barely cost any money, and I'm sure this is the
case for most children. So I thought it might be interesting to start a
thread where we share our ideas so we can all store them up for future use
:-)

This year I bought two Hallowe'en broomsticks from Tesco, at a cost of about
70p each and a pack of gold sticky letters from Partners for 99p. Result -
two Harry Potter broomsticks, one Nimbus 2001 and one Firebolt, and two
children racing round the garden on Christmas Day playing Quidditch! The
idea was almost an afterthought but has undoubtedly been one of the most
successful presents this year.

Oo fab stuff.
Been to tesco today and bought three bags of stuff for £2.50 (Only
boring housey stuff but plenty of bargains if you mooch round)

Time to stock up on wrapping paper, crackers, and cards if nothing
else. :)
